Geri Wants Victoria for the 2012 Olympics

Geri Halliwell hopes to convince her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham for a performance at next year`s Olympics Games.

Beckham is not that keen for the 2012 gig even though other Spice Girls Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton are on board, a tabloid reported.

"It would be an amazing privilege to represent our country in 2012. So we`ll discuss it with Victoria and see what she thinks," said Halliwell.

The Beckhams Dine with Emma as She Announces Her Engagement

Yesterday, David and Victoria were spotted leaving Smith's Brasserie after dining with Emma Bunton. Unlike most of their friendly dinners out, this one was a celebration because Emma recently announced that she is engaged to her longtime beau, Jade Jones.

Victoria also took to her official Twitter page and tweeted the following message...

"Congratulations Emma and Jade on your engagement!we are so happy for you!x vb x"

Sorry Guys... There Won't Be a Spice World 2

A few weeks ago, several gossip sites mis-quoted Emma Bunton and lead the world into thinking that there would be a sequel to the infamous Spice Girls movie, Spice World.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately, that is not going to happen... ever.

Emma did respond to the rumors via Twitter where she said:

"Guys I'm sorry but I DID NOT mention that we would be doing another film! But we r very excited about r musical in the theatre!"

Fashionista Victoria Beckham loves to pass on her style tips, says her former ''Spice Girls'' bandmate Emma Bunton. The singer-turned-fashion designer has thrilled her friends with how well her new career is going and delights in sharing her knowledge and expert tips, Contactmusic reported online.

"I chose it myself and I love it. Victoria''s dresses always make you feel so stylish," said Emma at the Sex and the City 2 premier.

"I am so lucky to have a great friend who designs wonderful outfits! She is an amazing designer. It is so difficult to go from music and do something else and there is real pressure, but it''s worked out so brilliantly for her. She has given me her advice before and told me to keep it classic," she added.

Celebrities in dVb: Emma Bunton in Victoria Beckham Spring 2010

After Melanie C., Emma Bunton is the next Spice Girl spotted in a Victoria Beckham creation. Emma attended the Sex and the City 2 premier in London this past week and she wore the lovely print wrap dress, #43, from Mrs. B's spring 2010 collection.

I think Emma looks fabulous! The colors are very playful and I love that she added hot pink nail polish with her vibrant purple suede YSL Tribute sandals. Great look!

Celebrities in dVb: Melanie C. in Victoria Beckham Fall 2009

It took quite a long time before we saw one of Victoria's bandmates wear one of her designs but Melanie C. finally made it happen. The ex-Spice Girl wore a lovely floor length gown with structured shoulders, the same one Victoria wore to Elton John's Oscar party last year, to the Laurence Olivier Awards in London on March 22nd. I think she looked really amazing and Posh!

Emma Bunton Loves VB's Dress Collection

Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice, has been adding to her wardrobe thanks to her former Spice Girls bandmate. Victoria Beckham has been sending Bunton dresses from her collection.

Emma revealed that she has even worn some of the outfits on the judging panel.

The 34-year-old told Now magazine: "I love her stuff. I've been very lucky as she's sent me a few bits... [Her dresses] are beautiful - you do feel so sexy in them. They're gorgeous. I am so proud of her. She has always been so into fashion. I think she's pushed boundaries by going from music to designing."

Melanie C's Little White Lie

Seems like Melanie C does a bit of name dropping to get herself a table at restaurants. And what name would that be I hear you ask... none other than Victoria Beckham.

She confessed: "I still can't always get a table in restaurants. Although I do have a trick up my sleeve. I always say Victoria Beckham is coming when I book. There is always a table free then."

When asked about the other girls, Melanie said: "To be honest, when we first split I didn't see the other girls for a couple of years. Then we began calling each other, and when we did the reunion tour we rediscovered how close we really are. And motherhood has mellowed all of us. Now we meet when we can. We still fight, but usually after a few too many drinks."

Spice Reunion Tour was the Highlight of the Decade

According to Heat magazine, the Spice Girls reunion tour was the highlight of the decade for Victoria Beckham: "It was such a big opportunity to celebrate the past and thank our fans. The boys were the main reason for doing it- so they could see what I used to do. Normally, it’s all about David, but the boys were really proud.”

I'm sure moving to the US, launching a successful career as a fashion designer, revamping her denim/sunglasses, and having her husband make it to the MLS Cup were also up there :)

Rumor of the Day: Victoria to Guest Judge on Dancing on Ice?

Ever since Emma Bunton has been named as one of the judges on Dancing on Ice, rumors have been swiriling that Victoria Beckham would fill in as a guest judge to show support for her fellow Spice Girl.

A TV "insider" tells the Daily Star, "We are fully confident in Emma's abilities. She has a great background in performing and will give a different perspectives from the other judges. We're hoping most of the Spice Girls will be there for Emma. Victoria has already said yes, which is obviously fantastic for Emma - and the show."

Me, I don't see this as happening at all. The only thing I could see possibly coming true is if Victoria sits in the audience.. not as a judge.

Victoria Won't Be Reuniting with the Spices Anytime Soon

Atfer Melanie C., Mel B., Emma, and Geri were spotted out for dinner in London a few weeks ago, rumors have been swiriling that the ex-Spices are planning to reunite. These rumors were fueled even further when Mel B. tweeted: "Spice Girls, stadiums???? Had dinner with the amazing Mel C, Emma and Geri. I love them so much." The only thing missing was Posh.

Victoria, on the other hand, says she hasn't heard anything about a reunion. "I haven't been told anything about a reunion. No one's asked me to be part of anything like that and I'm just so busy at the moment." She also insists that she won't be reuniting with the Spice Girls because she is far to busy with her fashion empire. "I'm very hands-on with designing and I'm loving every minute of it. Even though I've just shown one dress collection, we're already working on next season's designs."

Mel B. Loves Victoria's Collection!

Fellow Spice Girl, Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice, is completely "in love" with Victoria's line of high end dresses. She said: "I saw Victoria's new clothing line and I love, love, love it! She'll definitely be giving the big designers a run for their money. That's my girl!" The 34-year-old star said: "I think it is sexy - from a woman's perspective." Mel B, who tried her hand at designing herself, said that Victoria's collection is as good as anything from established labels such as Gucci, Dior, and Chanel! Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice, also loves the line as well.

One Year Ago Tonight...

I was at the Spice Girls show! I can't believe it's been a whole year! I so wish I was going again tonight! It was such a fantastic show- the lighting, the Cavalli costumes, the choreography - and of course the girls! It was my second show.. I saw them back in the '90s but without Geri because she had just lef the group. It was great to see them all together! We had great 10th row seats on the foor right next to the catwalk so I got some amazing photos! The pictures scrolling above are a mere few of my milions that I took at the show. I'm sorry they look a bit small and blurred but the Slide site made me save them as jpegs which blur them a bit. If you click them, you can get the larger view. Unfortunately, Dvaid had to bring Brooklyn and Romeo back to LA so they weren't there but Cruz and Emma's son Beau were. The bodyguards ran past us with the babies and I tried to take a pic but it came out so blurry cause those bodyguards are terribly fast :)

It's very obvious how much Spice Fans want a Return of the Spice Girls Farewell Tour DVD because now fans are even uploading videos onto YouTube. Here is one that I came across so far. It uses the music of the opening of the tour but honestly, I don't see very much a point to it. Let me know what you think..

Help Get a Return of the Spice Girls DVD Released!

Many of you, like myself, were hoping that the girls would release a DVD of their farewell tour and unfortunately, a message on their official website proved that this would not happen. Fortunately, I got to see the show and I loved it! But other fans were unable to make it and it's a shame because it was such an amazing show! This is why a DVD should be released - and for the fact that it was the last time we would see them all together on stage. However, there may be light at the end of the tunnel after all! Here is a piece of information from TJ at DenDen forums:

"As many of you know SpiceFan2008 came up with a really good idea on how to approach getting a tour DVD. There were a bunch of us that e-mailed Bizarre at The Sun, because he takes on petitions. So far, he's won everything he's done, so we figured he'd be the best one to help us get a DVD of the tour, or at least to get 19 to see that we still really want a professionally filmed version of the show.

After about a week since we've e-mailed him, this turned up today on The Sun website:http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sh...297421.ece

It's very short, but it brings light to the situation, and shows that there is still interest out there for a DVD. We're hoping to keep up with this, so if any one else would like to join in and help, PM me and I'll provide you with all the necessary contact information.

If you don't care and want us to give it up, you don't have to post. I figured I'd make it a new topic because even if you no longer care about a DVD, the girls were still in The Sun today, so it's always nice to see them in the media.

The Spice Girls Tour Gave VB her Confidence Back

The hugely successful reunion tour of the Spice Girls is responsible for giving Victoria Beckham her confidence back. Hearing the cheerful roars of her fans overwhelmed her:

"It made me cry when I first came out to that reaction. When I came out on the first night in Britain and people gave me such an amazing response, I was really touched. Ten years ago, I could have crawled on stage and died and I don’t think anyone would have noticed."

Who would've thought little Posh Spice would come out on top? When I was younger, Posh was always my favorite (hence this entire blog) but alot of my friends loved Baby and Sporty. Victoria Beckham is now not only the most successful of the fab 5 but she's also the most beloved. I think many people have a new found respect for her since she balances motherhood and a fashion empire. She proves day by day that she is a force to be reckoned with. You go girl!

And the Award Goes to...

The Spice Girls! For "Best Live Return" at the 2008 Vodafone Live Music Awards. Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice, was their to accept the award on the girls behalf. She looked great with a new cropped hair cut and her chic black dress.

Congrats girls! Just goes to show you MUST do it again!!
