Rumor of the Day: Victoria to Launch a Menswear Line with the Help of David?

Elle UK is reporting that there is a possibility that Victoria Beckham might be launching a high end menswear line with the help of her hunky hubby.

Accoriding to the site, it has been suggested that she plans to branch out into the world of men's clothing and that husband David will be in charge of design and apparently, the football star has signed a deal to create a full range of clothing and is just waiting until this year's World Cup is done and before he gives it his full attention.

As much as I would love to see her create a menswear line with David, I doubt that he has enough spare time to spend designing especially since he will be in Milan for the next six months and after that, he will join the Galaxy midseason. He also has his own line for Adidas out right now so I doubt this will be happening anytime soon. What do you all think of this new rumor?

dVb Denim Trend - Black Patches and Zipper Details

When blogging about Victoria's day out with her sons yesterday, I couldn't help but notice an obvious trend among the new dVb denim styles... black patch work and zipper details.

When we first saw Victoria in the tan leggings as she made her way to London, I was instantly drawn to the black patch work and the fabulous zipper enclosures at the back of her ankles. These resemble riding pants and they make your thighs look much smaller thanks to the strategically placed patches.

Yesterday, while at Yogurt Land with her sons, she wore a pair from her upcoming spring 2010 line that had a striking resemblance to her fall 2009 pair. These were a pale gray color and they had ankle zip enclosures on the inside of her calf and black diamond shaped patches on the outside.

I personally love both pairs even though I admit, I was on the fence at first, but they instantly grew on me. I would love to purchase a gray pair - I really like them. Can't wait to see the rest of the dVb spring line!

Rumor of the Day: Victoria to Launch a Handbag & Shoe Line

She started out with sunglasses and denim, branched into a fully-fledged ready-to-wear collection, and now Victoria Beckham is set to conquer the world of accessories.

The popstar-turned-designer has announced that her next creative project is going to be a collection of Victoria Beckham bags and shoes.

Posh is though to be fed up of being a ‘walking advert' for other designers, who benefit from increased sales whenever she is pictured with one of their pieces. A close friend of the stylista told the sun: ‘Victoria is fed up of promoting other brands. If she wears Hermes or Christian Louboutin, people go and buy it.

‘She thought, ‘why can't I do this with my own line?'' the insider continued. ‘Her current collection has gone down a storm across the celebrity world. If this is repeated with her line of shoes, the range would be worth an absolute fortune."

But with the announcement of this latest project, comes the news that proud hubbie David Beckham has offered to build her a huge design workshop in their Hertfordishire ‘Beckingham Palace' mansion.

I definitely think she should do and shoe and bag line since she is such a shoe and bag person. They would probably be fabulous! What do you all think of this new rumour? True or not, good idea/bad??

In VB's Closet: Victoria Beckham Fall 2009 'Tarisel' Cape

I've been patiently waiting for Victoria Beckham to wear one of her capes from the fall 2009 collection for a while now and yesterday, on her way to NYC, she finally did. She wore it the same as the model, paired with Louboutin boots. Now that I see it on, I honestly don't really like it all that much... it reminds me a bit of a "Snuggie" blanket. I was hoping she would wear the purple Niccolo cape with a pair of skinny pants... that I really like. This Tarisel cape isn't my fave.

I have to admit, when I first saw the photos of Victoria arriving at LAX, I was not to keen on her outfit.. particularly her pants. But, after sleeping on it and looking at them again today, they are actually kind of cute. I really like the back zip detail at the ankle. What do you guys think of them?

More Trouble for dVb??

Say it isn't so!

According to the latest reports, Victoria Beckham's dVb line has been dropped in yet another store here in the US... Maxfields. The boutique has been carrying Victoria's denim and sunglasses for a few years now and has recently announced that they will stock Katie Holmes' new line, Holmes & Yang. Splash News is reporting that Maxfields has decided to drop the label from it's inventory due to poor sales.

Magazine Covers: Grazia UK

Victoria Beckham's weight has made the cover of the latest issue of the UK's Grazia magazine. I had a feeling that those photos from the first Idol auditons were going to spark comments from the tabloids - espeically this particular photo used on the cover. I know Victoria is teeny tiny but that picture really makes her look scary skinny (could be the angle as well).

Also, while browsing the Grazia sight, I came across this:

"It’s clear Victoria Beckham’s latest dress collection has become one of the successes of the season. But instead of resting on her laurels and enjoying her success, Victoria is set on expanding her design empire. (Well this is a woman who’s clocked up 100,500 air miles this year alone, so she doesn't exactly sit still.) She’s rumoured to have met with a few chosen designers, who can help her create a luxury, ‘classic but contemporary’ handbag line. Her people insist there’s nothing specific confirmed at present but that, as with any developing label, Victoria is looking into a number of different areas. Now we’re thinking that, since she’s got an extensive, £1.5m Hermès collection, bags are the obvious step. But we’d also love to see Victoria working on lingerie, given her Emporio Armani experience (is that why she quit working with the Italian maestro?) and some sky-scraper style heels. Let’s hope those ideas are bubbling away in her South London studio, where she’s just popped in to put the finishing touches to her S/S ’10 dress collection that will be shown at New York Fashion Week."

I would love to see Victoria expand her line (especially shoes and bags) but I would also love for her to make it more affordable to her fans. Her dresses are gorgeous and timeless but for the average Joe, they are way out of most people's price range. Hopefully she will do a more economically friendly line as well. So hopefully she doesn't come out with a handbag line priced like Hermes and shoe line like Louboutins.

Victoria Hires a New Team to Revamp her Denim Line

Having branched into fashion with her dress range, Victoria Beckham has enlisted the help of a new team in order to help her relaunch her dVb Denim line.

A spokesman for Victoria said: "There is a new production team for the denim line. It will launch next year."

Can't wait! It's time for something new!

Victoria Wears a Self Designed Dress to Dinner

Victoria Beckham looked like a princess on her birthday wearing a dress from her upcoming fall 2009 collection. Coincidentally, this is one of my favorite dresses of the new collection and it looks absolutely STUNNING on her!! She accessorised with a mix of gold and silver jewelry, a gold Grecian leaf hand band, and her Christian Louboutin Eugenie pumps. Back in February I did a post about those shoes after falling in love with them the first time she wore them - to the Armani fashion show after party in Milan with David.

Victoria and dVb Featured in Elle Spain

Victoria Beckham and dVb are getting world wide coverage in some of the most notorious fashion magazines! Both VB and her designer brand were feature in April's issue of Elle Spain.


Here, Victoria's boyfriend jeans from her Spring/Summer 09 collection are displayed with a note that says: ''dVb stands for David and Victoria Beckham, who else? The collection is fabulous and shows male style for women."


Here, supermodel Elle Macpherson, who often wears both dVb and Victoria Beckham for Rock and Republic denim, says that dVb fits her the best: "My fetish brands are Belstaff, J.Brand, and Diesel, but dVb are the ones that suit best.''


And in this scan, Victoria is feaured carrying her Loewe Calle bag.

I came across a website today while searching for the new dVb Spring denim collection and found these three t-shirts. They are super cute and very basic - a little expensive for a simple cotton T but they are staple pieces that you will have and make use of for a long time. They come in these 3 colors and are slouchy t-shirts with wide necks, slightly twisted seams and a rear neck DVB crystallized star - very pretty!

InStyle's Look of the Day: Kelly Ripa in dVb

This is probably one of the biggest weeks for the dVb collection since it's debut! Not one, not two, but three celebrities were photographed in elegant Victoria Beckham creations this week - and two were at the exact same event! InStyle has made Kelly Ripa in her dVb Lombez dress the "Look of the Day" for today, March 27th! How exciting! I'm so proud of her!!

Who Wore dVb Better - Victoria or Brooke Shields?

Both Victoria and Brooke Shields looks stunning in the Orthez dress, or dress #8, from Victoria's debut collection - spring 2009. Victoria was the first to wear this classic LBD to the Marc Jacobs fashion show last year. Mrs. Beckham paired hers with a fabulous new "Poxie" haircut, Christian Louboutin Declic suede pumps, a Marc Jacobs cuff bracelet, and a jaw dropping $7 million ring from her hubby. After Victoria came Madonna and now Brooke Shields. Brooke wore her dVb dress to the Latisse launch party in LA last night. I think this dress fits her beautifully. I also loved her embellished waist band. Brooke kept her accessories to a minimal and wore a cute pair of peep toe pumps.

Now for the question - who wore it better? I think they both look unbelievable in this dress but honestly, no one can compete with Mrs. Beckham herself. Victoria wins this for me.. what do you guys think?

Celebrities in dVb: Debi Mazar in dVb Spring 2009

Also at the Latisse launch party, Debi Mazar looked fantastic in dress #7, the Lombez, from the spring 2009 collection. This is the second time this week we have seen a celeb in this particular dress. First was Kelly Ripa who wore it filming in NYC. Personally, I think Debi looks great (again, she's not one of the celebs I thought would be wearing a VB dress), but I really dislike the gloves and the overpowering handbag. A chic clutch and those shoes would have been perfect!

Celebrities in dVb: Brooke Shields in dVb Spring 2009

Victoria's dresses are out in full force this week! First Kelly Ripa and now Brooke Shields. At last night's Latisse launch party in LA, Brooke wore the Orthez (#8) dress with an embelished belt. Victoria was first to wear this dress at the Marc Jacobs fashion show after it's successful debut. Madonna also wore it in W magazine. I think Brooke looks fabulous but honestly, she's not one of the celebs I thought we were going to see in a VB dress. I'm shocked Eva Longoria hasn't popped out in one yet!
