As much as I adore him, I sometimes have to wonder what the hell he is thinking when it comes to his hairstyles. Yes, I know he enjoys changing it up and setting new trends but this long style is not my favorite on him.
At the friendly between LA and Club Tijuana on March 3rd, he sported almost a comb-over type style that bounced as he ran. Did you guys love it or hate it?
The UK's DailyMail website has done a report on the many different hairstyles that women go through during a lifetime - 104 some actually admitted to.
Apart from hairstyle magazines, celebrities are often credited for new 'dos. One of them being Mrs. Beckham of course: "Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, who unveils a new image every few months, can also take some of the credit for the feminine fondness for fiddling with their looks. Mrs Beckham is a coiffeur's chameleon, going long, short and everything in between. In fact at 36, she has probably already managed her 104-style quota."
Another celebrity featured was my personal style go-to girl - Jennifer Aniston (yes I can be a bit of a plain Jane when it comes to hair style changes).
Unlike myself, who usually finds one style and sticks with it (think the infamous Jennifer Aniston side parted style... that's been my go to for years now), Victoria Beckham has been known to change up her locks from time to time - both cut and color.
First we have the long waves. This style was very popular with Victoria back in 2005 (specifically the time of the last World Cup). She used hair extensions that were brunette and often had highlights put in. She ultimately had them taken out because they would come out during intimate moments. Here's the quote, “I was in the heat of passion and my hair extensions would come out - it was so embarrassing.” I haven't been a huge fan of extensions on Victoria... I don't know why but I just can't bring myself to be completely smitten by them (although I know many of you adore them on her).
The we move onto the blonde choppy look that was around for a while as they were making their way to LA. If you recall, Victoria wore this style during the taping of her reality special, Coming to America. Honestly, this I liked a lot - more than the blonde version of the Pob for sure (loved how she had it styled at the Spice press conference - 2nd look on top)!
And then we have the blonde version of the Pob. This was just ok for me. I liked the blonde choppy look much better because her hair was always styled perfectly. This was just a bit drab on her (although for the past two years, I have been sporting this exact style - I've never been brunette before in my life but she often makes me want to try it).
Now we have my absolute favorite VB hair style... the brunette Pob. I fell so deeply in love with this style (as did so many others in 2008) that I actually mustered up enough courage and went into the salon and chopped over 14 inches of my hair off! Only one person could have that kind of influence on me ;) The Pob was a staple for her for several years until she debuted the Poxie. This I feel is perfect for her face and her frame. I love this so much and especially the brunette version... hope it makes a comeback soon!
The Poxie shocked me so so much and it took me quite a while to hop on the bandwagon the rest of the world was on. Even though I didn't love it at first, it did suit her delicate features and was a WHAM! change!
And most recently we have the short and soft look... aka the growing it out look. This has been seen most often since the Poxie and she usually had her hair back in either a headband, curled, or slicked over to the side with gel.
Once upon a time there was the long and wavy hair extensions, then there was the Pob - both blonde and brunette, followed by the short Poxie, then the soft curls, and now we have the sloppy bun.
.
It seems that Victoria Beckham has grown quite fond of the sloppy casual style as she has been photographed with the 'do a number of times - especially in the January and February months.
.
I know how hard it can be when your hair is in the awkward growing out stage, but this is getting a bit too routine for me. I liked it the first 10 times, now I'm aching for a bit of a change.
InStyle magazine has noted Victoria Beckham's ever changing hairstyle as one of their "Most Dramatic Celebrity Hair Transformations" of 2009:
This fashionistas graphic pixie went perfectly with her signature work-it look, which is why we were so shocked to catch Victoria Beckham in a soft, wavy, and (gasp!) casual style at a Lakers game in October.
Yeah, I have to admit, I love them both and agree with the magazine.. I was a bit shocked myself (pleasantly though) when I saw her at the Lakers game. She looked amazing!
Also, they have composed a list of the "Best Parties of 2009" and of course the Armani 5th Avenue store opening event was #4.
Giorgio Armani welcomed fashion industry insiders and an inner circle of famous friends including Victoria Beckham, Alicia Keys and John Mayer to celebrate the opening of his Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City. "Armani was one of the first designer items that I ever bought," Beckham said before heading up the floating vortex staircase to the Armani/Ristoranti for a private VIP dinner.
This has become Victoria Beckham's favortie hairstyle of late and I must say I am happy to see her change it up a bit. She debuted this look at the Lakers game a mere two weeks ago and she's been spotted out and about in it several times since then.
I wonder if she is going to grow her hair back long or back to the Pob length again?
During the past few weeks, Victoria Beckham has rarely been spotted without her black stretch headband on. She wears it to the gym, the airpot, to soccer matches, to business meetings, to dinner... you name it.
I personally don't really mind the headband look, although it isn't my fave, but I would love to see her out with that lovely curly hair 'do again soon.. I think it really suited her well.
Tennis ace Serena Williams says she always looks to Victoria Beckham for inspiration for her hair style. She said: "I love Posh. She's my icon when it comes to hair. I love her hair, it's always amazing, she's just revealed a new tousled look and I'm obsessed with it already. I just really love the Spice Girls, I always have. 'Girl Power!'" source: The Sun
We were all head over heels in love with Victoria Beckham's hair 'do at the Lakers game a few weeks ago and it looks like we weren't the only ones. The readers of Marie Claire must have adored it as well because the magazine has written a "How To" piece for us all to recreate Victoria's stunning style with a few handy tips from hair care connoisseurs Sebastian Professional:
1. Rough dry freshly washed hair upside down, and massage a small amount of Sebastian Professional's Microweb Fiber into the roots. This will create added volume with natural movement.
2. Twist the product through your hair all the way through to the ends, to create that tousled, relaxed look.
3. Using thin straightening irons, take small sections from the sides to back of your hair and curl gently.
4. Finally, ruffle out tight waves with your fingers to rough it up a bit, and create that none-too-neat finish.
PUUUHHHLLLEEAAASSSFashionistas .. Listen very carefully.. If you want to have your highlights done, think twice ..
Having extremely bright highlights are so last year !!! Having these humongous thick ash blond or beige lines are a fashion disaster ... !!! So what is the solution is you want your hair bright and stylish .. ohh did i forget to mention that the brighter your highlight is the cheaper you appeal. Long story short .. This season hottest hair colors are rich and feminine from dark to light brown (may i recomend 8/1) it's the hottest color by far, trust me i know better .. so what i'm saying here is that this season its all about color, don't do the grayish matt brown, go for redish, orangish, honyish brown .. If you feel that highlights are part of your existence may i suggest goldish beige low lights .
Victoria Beckham's hair is still in it's growing out stage therefore it is still a bit short to really do much with. Last night at the Burberry show, the fashion designer was sporting a tousled pulled back/bun hairdo that was fixed with a bit of tulle. This was cute and very ballerina like... which went perfectly with the silhouette of her self designed dress.
This post is for one of my very sweet readers Hermine. She is debating a haircut and requested that I do a close up post of Victoria's Poxie haircut - both the short and longer/shaggy versions. The one above is the infamous short Poxie that she deubted during Marc Jacobs fashion show back in September of last year. This cut is very sharp and has more of a spiky texture.
This is her present style. I guess you could also call this a Poxie but I usually refer to it as her "long" or "shaggy" Poxie cut. It's definitely in it's growing out stages and she often has it slicked over to the side. I honestly really love this cut. If I had enough guts, I would do it myself (I have a longer version of her Pob). I hope this helps you Hermine- and anyone else debating these cuts!
Why don't they broadcast this show again !!! Its halariousssssssssssss. What i don't get is putting something so retro with endless drama like the dynasty, true and utter boredom. They still air this show for crying out loud ..! who watch this by the way LOL, interesting question. I'm just mad, people are missing out a lot !
Lucille Ball combined talent, humor, glamor, beauty, style, smart, she's a true DIVA .. all capital .
In the name of God ! Crocks with an evening dress !!!! whyyyyyyyy ...???
I know, i know she wanted a hairdo that matches her skirt .. Horrible is all i can think about ! What not to criticize ! Is it the monogram jeans, is it the Astrix and Obelix hat or is the wall watch .. hmmm cant really decide ..
I know that Sara Jessica Parker is a Fashion idol but this is outrages ! The hat it self was enough ! Then came the flower, then came the buterflies. Last but not least the mini garden .. And im wondering why ??? Having your face stuck on a shirt and Bermuda ! How low class this that ..!!!
