In Victoria's and My Closet: Cutler & Gross Sunglasses

After lusting over Victoria's black Cutler & Gross 0811 sunglasses for over a year and tirelessly looking for them all over the internet, I finally have a pair of my own and I LOVE them!

Once Victoria was spotted in them, the black pair seemed to go MIA as far as the internet goes. But some sites did have them in a dusty gray, maroon, and even a brown color. Luckily, I stumbled across a website for a NY optician and they had all of the colors available in this style in stock - including the infamous black pair.

I ordered them via their website and they cost me $445 (yes I know they were a bit pricey but each pair is 100% handmade - which I found out after receiving them). They shipped mine in from London so it took about two weeks, but after I got them, the wait time was well worth it! I completely adore them and I can see why Victoria owns them in a variety of colors and wears them often!

My Major Dilemma

Ok so here's the deal. First, my babies finally came in yesterday and I have to say I absolutely love them! I have been wanting them since last year and it's really nice to finally have them! They are the same exact pair Victoria wore at LAX last weekend - as you can tell, and they really do have a great silhouette, just like she said.

They are surprisingly very comfortable to walk in considering the height of the heel. However, I didn't do a great deal of walking (other than on my boyfriend's carpet - never stepped off of it actually) in them yet because I have to return them :(

Here is my major dilemma... I was beyond over the moon when I picked them up from the UPS facility and couldn't wait to get home and open them. When I got the heavily taped box opened, the YSL box was surrounded by bubble bags and a huge white bow (it was really cute). When I finally got the shoe box opened, I immediately took them out. BUT, much to my surprise, someone else had already previously owned them or walked around in them because the bottoms were so scuffed up (the pic does not do them justice at all)! Major let down! And they are 100% authentic.. I ordered them straight from the YSL site. This is something you would think would happen if your ordered them from Ebay or something. And considering the $795 price tag, I expected a brand new pair. So, to make a long story short, I called YSL today and explained my situation. Unfortunately they were out of the office (9-6pm M-F) so I left a message. But I think I'm going to return them and ask for a new pair... such a bummer!

In Victoria's & My Closet - dVb Red Aviators

I fell in love with Victoria's red rimless aviators by her own dVb brand the minute I saw her wearing them shopping in NYC. What really pushed me to purchase them was the MJ Kim photo of Victoria. I adore them! I got mine in the mail today and they are stunning in person. Very different! These are my second pair of dVb sunglasses. I also own her signature pair in brown.
