Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham has been named the second-most influential woman in the UK, sandwiched between "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling and a little lass named Queen Elizabeth II, the Guardian reports.
Just a week after Forbes unveiled its Most Powerful Women in the World list, the National Magazine Company has revealed its own selection of influential Brits, according to the paper.
And it's not hard to see why Beckham made the cut. Between her inspiring chic style and her celeb-adored designs, the fragrance spokesmodel has proved that a little pouting can go a long way.
Along with the famously fashionable Marie Claire November cover girl, the top 10 also reportedly includes style icons such as pop star Cheryl Cole (#5), First Lady Samantha Cameron (#6), designers Cath Kidston (#7) and Vivienne Westwood (#9), and supermodel Kate Moss (#8). source: Stylist

How could they not be? With devestatingly good looks and designer wardrobes to go on for miles, the Beckhams are certainly a dynamic duo when in comes to style (amongst other things).
InStyle magazine has composed a list of stylish celebrity couples and of course they included Mr. and Mrs. Beckham:
"David and Victoria Beckham are always a stylish pair on the red carpet. While Victoria is rarely seen outside of formfitting designer dresses (at left, in a William Tempest design and Brian Atwood pumps), David often alternates between handsome suits and more casual looks, such as the jeans and hoodie combo he wore for the launch of his Adidas Originals line."

Forbes has recently released its lists of the most valuable franchises and top individual earners in sports. As usual, David Beckham still ranks as one of the highest paid athletes. The list is as follows:
1. Muslera (Uruguay) - The Lazio keeper is a find for me having only just recently made his International debut a few months ago. Uruguay didn’t concede any goals in the group stage and his two penalty saves against Ghana show that he has the temprament for the big stage.
2. Ramos (Spain) - Having played with Sergio at Madrid I can say he’s one of the most determined and committed defenders I’ve come across. He enjoys linking up with the attack and loves to shoot when he gets the chance. He has had a great World Cup.
3. A Cole (England) - I also enjoyed watching Fábio Coentrão for Portugal but Ashley for me is the best left back in the world and probably England’s standout performer in this World Cup. Ashley never stops running and whilst a very good defender, he loves to attack opposing full-backs.
4. Puyol (Spain) - The semi final showed how important he is for Spain. Not only was he strong defensively, he got the crucial goal that took Spain into the Final. I've played against him before and not only does he have natural talent, he has enormous presence and a strong work ethic, leading by example. His partnership with Pique has been crucial to Spain. 5. Mensah (Ghana) - The Ghana captain was very solid as they progressed through the tournament and were unlucky in their Quarter-Final with Uruguay. Leads by example and the rugged defender is not afraid to put his body on the line for his team.
6. Schweinsteiger (Germany) - Has had a very good World Cup and particularly impressive against England. He has all the attributes of a modern midfield player. You would want him alongside you in any team.
7. Sneijder (Holland) - A talented playmaker who has had a great season for club and country. He has an eye for a pass and impressive dead-ball ability. He’s got many goals so far in the World Cup from an advanced midfield role. He will definitely be one to watch at the Final on Sunday.
8. Xavi (Spain) - You could pick Alonso or Iniesta but I love to watch Xavi play. Every team needs a Xavi. He runs the engine room for both Spain and Barcelona and he is such an intelligent player. He has amazing vision and passing ability. He will take on the ball in the tightest of situations and for me, he is Spain's main man. He deserves the highest accolades in the game and could be the player of the tournament along with Sneijder.
9. Mueller (Germany) - Not a name many had heard of before the tournament, but 4 goals and 3 assists from 5 games is an amazing return from the 20 year-old attacking player. It was a shame he missed the semi and you could tell Germany missed his pace and finishing ability.
10. Forlan (Uruguay) - A striker who has got better and better over the years. I was fortunate to play with Diego at United and we could all see what a talented player he
was, now he has supreme confidence. He’s twice been the leading scorer in La Liga and with 4 goals and several assists to his name in South Africa, he’s had a great tournament.
11. Villa (Spain) - Top scorer at the tournament so far, he is one of the world’s best finishers. He can play off either foot and is devastating in front of goal. It's frightening that he is going to what is already a great team at Barcelona.
Three Subs Bradley (United States) - I thought the US team looked good and were unlucky to go out. My teammate Landon was very good but I was particularly impressed by Michael Bradley. If the States can produce players like him for the future, soccer will be in good health there.
Maicon (Brazil) - Brazil produce great wing backs and I was lucky to play with one, Roberto Carlos at Real Madrid. Maicon is another one off the production line. I thought he played well for Brazil and had a great season for Inter. His goal in their first match was incredible.
Messi (Argentina) - how can you not even have the best player in the world in your squad? He did everything but score a goal in the tournament, was unlucky. He's amazing to watch. source: www.davidbeckham.com
One of my favorite sites for celebrity photos is Zimbio and they always do these cute little lists. Their most recent one is Best Dressed Celebrity Dads and of course David is #1!
"Not enough can be said about hottie David Beckham. This soccer star needs no help from wife Victoria Beckham—he's got enough style for the both of them. From the red carpet to the soccer field, his style remains impeccable."
I couldn't agree more!

Designer Marc Jacobs' name is being added to Times magazine's 100 Most Influential People list and in his honor, his BFF, Mrs. Victoria Beckham, had a few words to say..
She said "He inspires and educates me every time we meet. He changes how we see fashion with each collection he shows, be it his work for Louis Vuitton or his own baby, the Marc Jacobs line, which he started in 1986."
She continued by admitting that she was intimidated when she first launched her own line that she didn’t even mention it in front of him.
She said: "When I came out with my first collection, I didn't even tell Marc. Well, I felt a little bit embarrassed. He's Marc Jacobs. What else can I say? I never really told him, and then we went to dinner and he said congratulations on all the reviews and the quality of my work. I've learned so much from him. I am such a sponge whenever I'm around him. He is one of the most intelligent, interesting people that I have ever met." source: Grazia
InStyle magazine has a Valentine's Day special featuring the most stylish couples. It only makes sense that the gorgeous and uber fashionable Beckhams are on their list:
David and Victoria Beckham "David and Victoria Beckham are always a stylish pair on the red carpet. While Victoria is rarely seen outside of formfitting designer dresses (at left, in a William Tempest design and Brian Atwood pumps), David often alternates between handsome suits and more casual looks, such as the jeans and hoodie combo he wore for the launch of his Adidas Originals line."
David and Victoria Beckham rounded out the top five on the wealthiest celebrity couples lists by Forbes magazine.
With Victoria's growing fashion empire that includes dresses, denim, and sunglasses, David's successful soccer career, edorsements, his menswear line for Adidas, their frangrances, and much more, it is estimated that the couple earned a staggering $46 million dollars last year. source: Forbes
Zimbio has ranked some of Hollywood's hottest 100 pairs based on their levels of success, attractiveness, popularity and staying power - the Beckhams came in at #3 (personally I think they are the #1 hottest celeb couple but hey, I didn't put the list together lol!).
Success: David Beckham reportedly earns more than any other soccer player in the world, having signed a five-year, $250 million deal with LA Galaxy. He's twice been named the FIFA World Player of the Year runner-up, and he's played more than 100 Champions League games. His success as a footballer has shot him to the ranks of an international celebrity, constantly in demand to endorse products like Coca-Cola and IBM. Victoria and the rest of the Spice Girls produced nine number-one singles in the '90s, but her later solo career is largely considered a failure. Still, her books -- a 2001 biography and 2006 fashion advice guide -- each sold around half a million copies, and she undoubtedly makes a bundle from endorsing fashion campaigns. Forbes estimates that between 2007 and 2008, these two earned $58 million.
Attractiveness: Posh Spice is arguably better known as a style icon than a music one, having endorsed lines of Roberto Cavalli, Marc Jacobs and Armani. Her slim figure, sassy haircut and willingness to take risks have helped her gain admiration from the fashion industry. For his part, David's body couldn't be more fit, but his masculine facial features are just as handsome as the rest of him.
Popularity: In March, around 450,000 people searched Google to learn more about Victoria, and 673,000 searched for David. Those numbers push these two into the top half of our celeb couples in terms of popularity.
Staying Power: Victoria and David are no stranger to rumors of affairs, which have plagued them since 2004. Still, they've been together for 12 years now (and married 10), and they have three sons together: Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn. If these two were going to split, it seems like it would have already happened. Besides, Victoria handles the press around their relationship quite well.
Compatibility: David's a Taurus, and Victoria is an Aries, so these two have different interests. She likes to go out and have a good time, while he'd rather chill at home. As long as he doesn't stifle her endless energy, they have a chance of succeeding together. (Note: Aries extravagance can annoy the frugal Taurus; good thing this couple scored so highly in the success category, right?) source: zimbio
Victoria Beckham proves time and time again that she is one of the most hardworking mothers in Hollywood. And it sure can't be as easy as she makes it look! After all, VB runs a growing fashion empire while taking care of three young boys in four inch Louboutin heels! Don't know how she does it!
On the annual Forbes Hardest Working Moms in Hollywood list, Victoria comes in at #12:
No. 12 Victoria Beckham Estimated earnings: $7 million
In 2008, Victoria Beckham returned to the role that made her famous: Posh Spice in the Spice Girls. The group earned more than $70 million in gross ticket sales. Beckham stands behind a DVB line of clothing; a handbag and jewelry line with Samantha Thavasa; a cosmetics line; and the Intimately Beckham line of fragrances. She can be found in her skivvies with husband David Beckham in the current Armani Underwear campaign. The couple has three children: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
She is in very good company! Other mothers include Angelina Jolie, Kelly Ripa, Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Faith Hill... source: Forbes
Statics prove that if Victoria Beckham graces the cover of your prestigous fashion magazine, it will sell like hotcakes! Mrs. Beckham was a worldwide cover girl last year, making the cut for some of the world's most notorious fashion magzines like Elle, Allure, Bazaar...
In 2008, Victoria made the highest rank for top selling magazines at both Allure and Elle. At Elle, VB was the best-selling subject last year. Her January cover sold 413,000 copies. Her lovely August Allure cover (one of my all time faves) was also the magazines highest selling issue of '08. Hopefully we get tons more in 2009!! source: Perez Hilton & WWD
This should come as no huge suprise but David Beckham is #1 on the annual Football Rich List produced by FourFourTwo magazine.
Beckham's contract with the LA Galaxy in 2007 earned him a whopping $250 million and that's not all. Beckham's London-based company, Footwork Production Ltd., paid the player and his staff $8.4 million which 49 per cent less than the previous year. The company’s revenue – which comes from endorsements from the likes of Pepsi, Adidas and Gillette, as well as from Beckham Brand Ltd., a company he owns with his wife, Victoria – fell to roughly $17 million which is down for a third straight year.
And according to a Beckham spokesman, these figures do not include the various other benefits he receive from the Galaxy, such as cuts from shirt and ticket sales or the $5.5m base salary he receives.
"Because Sometimes "Celebrity Designer" Isn't an Oxymoron
"The only word pairing more terrifying than "celebrity designer" is "celebrity fragrance." But some brave souls—Gwen Stefani, the Olsen twins—have shown that it doesn't have to be that way, and now we can add another ultra-famous sartorialista to that list: Victoria Beckham. We admit we managed to avoid the sunglasses and jeans she previously launched under the name dVb, but Style.com's Nicole Phelps was quick to call Beckham's all-dress Spring 2009 collection "one of the hottest things going in New York this week." Sure they owe a debt to Roland Mouret, but the gorgeously simple slim sheaths are also the considered creation of a woman who spends her life in serious fashion (hence the grosgrain linings for perfect posture). And by all accounts, they're selling faster than Brangelina paparazzi pics at Bergdorf Goodman." source: www.style.com
