David to Get $800,000 Over Magazine's False Claims

David Beckham has won a $800,000 pay-out from the publishers of a magazine, which published the claims of prostitute Irma Nici who claimed that the football star paid her for sex at a New York hotel. Beckham, 35, launched legal cases in Germany and the US last September as the story was published in both countries in In Touch magazine.

He has won a court ruling in Germany over Hamburg-based firm Bauer, reported Daily Mail online.

News of his victory came the day after Beckham suffered a legal blow in the US in his bid to prove that Nici was lying so he could sue her for millions in damages.

His libel claim was rejected by a Los Angeles judge who ruled his lawyers had not proved that the publisher acted "with malice", as required by US law.

David's Bodyguards: He Never Met Hooker Accussing Him Of Affair

David Beckham is continuing to persue his legal suit against Irma Nici, the prostitute who claims she had an affair with him, but this time, his bodyguards are by his side.

Two members of Beck's high powered security team have stated that David was nowhere near the locations where Nici insits they were together.

The Beckhams are clients of the Gavin de Becker & Associates security firm. The guards, who protect the Beckhams nearly 24/7, are required to keep daily logs.

Nici claimed she first bedded Becks on August 17, 2007. "Not only did it not happen, it couldn't have happened," said Joshua Dessalines, a VP at de Becker. Craig Love, the personal bodyguard who was with Beckham that day, is no longer with the company, but his log still is. According to it -- and Dessalines' declaration -- Beckham was traveling with the Los Angeles Galaxy and checked into his hotel at about 10:30 pm that night in August.

Massage therapist Mi Lee, who was booked by the hotel's concierge, arrived at Beckham's suite at 11pm and was walked out by Beckham's bodyguard at 1:30am.

Nici also claimed she'd next had sex with Beckham September 27 at the Claridges Hotel in London. "Again, didn't and couldn't have happened," said bodyguard Craig Love.

He stated that on September 26, his bosses at de Becker told him he would be leaving Los Angeles immediately, flying to London with Beckham, because his father had suffered a heart attack and was in the hospital. Beckham arrived in London the morning of September 27 and spent the day at the hospital with his dad. He didn't get home until late that evening, the bodyguard states.

Love states in his declaration that at no time was he anywhere even near the Claridges Hotel where Nici claimed they'd met.

The next hearing in the case is February 7 in Los Angeles.

David Files Legal Action Against Prostitute Irma Nici

A few months ago we learned about the scandalous claims made by prostitue Irma Amici saying that she had an affair with David Beckham. We also learned that Beckham denied the story and filed legal action against her... to which she turned around and did the same.

To add to his lawsuit, David has filed a declaration to a Los Angeles court in his $25 million battle against Nici and the publishers of In Touch magazine: "Irma Nici's statements have caused me and my family great anguish and emotional distress, and have adversely affected both my personal and professional life."

David Gets Sued Back by Prostitute

It seems that there is no end in sight for David Beckham as far as the prostitute scandal is concerned. After serving Irma Nici with a lawsuit a week ago, the callgirl turned around and returned the favor.

Irma Nici supposedly filed her suit on Friday at Los Angeles County Superior Court for emotional and physical injuries.

Nici was claiming that she got hurt by a process server when Beckham’s £16million lawsuit was delivered and was hospitalized as a result. According to her attorney Mr. Jenson “Beckham is responsible for his goon’s conduct and we will hold him liable for it”.

David Takes Legal Action Against InTouch Weekly

After the magazine reported this week that David slept with a prostitute several years ago, the Beckham camp has filed legal action against InTouch weekly.

In the magazine, Miss Nici, who bills herself on her website as “the world’s most sought-after call girl” and charged up to $10,000 per night for her services, alleges that she slept with Beckham in a New York hotel room in August 2007, shortly after he joined the LA Galaxy team, and at Claridge’s hotel in London a month later.

A spokesman for David said: ‘The allegations that have been made are completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication. Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it."

David is understood to be planning legal action against the Bauer Media-owned title for defamation and slander. His lawyers will demand that the magazine does not repeat the allegations and prints a retraction on its front page. The legal action is believed to be imminent, with the documents still awaiting Beckham's signature. His representative sent legal warnings to Bauer before the magazine was published warning that if the allegations were made in print, he would take legal action.

Victoria's Spring Collection Stolen in Knife-Point Heist

It was reported that a £350,000 collection of Victoria's new spring dresses was stolen in a knife-point hijack last week. The delivery, believed to include between 50 and 75 dresses, destined for sale at Neiman Marcus in New York, had been hijacked soon after it was collected from the offices of 19 Entertainment, in west London, on Thursday.

It is believed the delivery van was followed by the thieves who struck as the van driver made a delivery. When the driver returned, the van's padlocks were broken and two men burst out of the back of the van carrying two large boxes of dresses. The driver was left shaken and bruised as he was knocked down when the men barged past.

Victoria's spokeswoman said it was hoped the spring/summer collection could be remade in time for delivery to Neiman Marcus. She said police were investigating the incident. "This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market. Victoria was informed straight away about the incident and was shocked and deeply saddened, although her first priority was the well-being of the driver."

How awful!! Hopefully they find those creeps!

David Beckham will Join AC Milan Once Again

The LA Galaxy have completed the loan agreement for David Beckham to AC Milan on Monday. This will be effective in January 2010 as he remains under contract to the Galaxy and will play for the club throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs. Even though the loan agreement has been confirmed, in accordance with team and league regulations, details were not released.

"We are pleased to finalize David's loan to AC Milan and we look forward to his return to the Galaxy after the 2010 World Cup," Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena said.

After the MLS season end, David and the rest of the Galaxy will travel to Germany for the 2009 Postseason Tour, which will conclude on December 2. He will officially join AC Milan on December 28th and remain with the club throughout their season which ends on May 16, 2010. He will re-join the Galaxy when the summer transfer window opens in July 2010.

"After the wonderful experience of last season we are very happy to see David Beckham again wearing the red and black colors," said Adriano Galliani, Vice President and CEO of AC Milan. "We are confident his loan spell will not only improve Milan, it will help the player to take part in the World Cup in South Africa and continue to enhance his career in North America with the LA Galaxy. We would like to thank the Galaxy and MLS for their co-operation and understanding."

Don Garber Won't Allow Becks to Leave LA till November

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber will not allow David Beckham to leave the Los Angeles Galaxy until November at the earliest. Garber said any talks regarding a return to Milan will have to take place at the end of the current season. “We’re going to wait until after the season before we get there,” Garber said. “We’ve heard from David that he wants to go back to Milan and he wants to play for the English national team. We’ve also heard from him that he also wants to spend the rest of his career here. So we’re going to get through this year and let the Galaxy take this as far as they can take it and then sit down with David and his people and figure it out.”

Since David has returned back to LA, he has had mixed reactions from the fans and words with two spectators. However, Garber said he considered the matter dealt and sought to draw a line under the controversy. “You know, it first starts with the fact that we’ve got a team that was struggling and now they’re doing well. On Saturday we’re going to have what could be the largest crowd in the Rose Bowl for an MLS game when the Galaxy play FC Barcelona. We’ve dealt with the incident that happened with David this week. We don’t want to see our players interact with fans or even be interpreted as encouraging fans (onto the field). We dealt with it, he was fined for it and he gets it now.”

Garber added that Beckham had been spoken to again since last Saturday’s incident in Kansas City when he reacted to comments from the stands that were abusive towards his wife. “We have (spoken) and David’s very passionate and let me say this, we’ve got fans that are saying things in our stands about David, about his family and these are things that no player in any sport, no person should ever have to deal with. That doesn’t excuse any reaction from any player but if I have anything to say it’s that we’ve got a guy that is really working hard to build this game, that’s really trying hard to get his team to a championship, so let’s get focused on what’s going on on the field and move on.”

David Beckham Fined $1,000 for Tiff with Fan

David Beckham's highly publicized run-in with his own club's fans has earned the soccer superstar a $1,000 fine. MLS commissioner Don Garber fined Beckham for confronting a member of the L.A. Riot Squad,that booed him through much of last Sunday's match against AC Milan at the Home Depot Center.

At halftime, David walked over to the group and challenged jeering fans to meet him on the field. Beckham then attempted to jump over a advertising barrier toward the crowd. He was held back by security personnel, which also restrained an angry fan who left his seat and rushed towards Beckham. Police arrested the fan who left the stands.

"We support our players interacting with fans, whether it is at clinics, charity events or by high-fiving their supporters in the stands while celebrating a goal," Don Garber said in a statement. "However, our players should never engage in conduct that can be interpreted as encouraging fans to come out of the stands and onto the field, regardless of the reason."

David Beckham Wins Case Over Model Affair Claims

David beckham has won substantial libel damages and an apology over false reports he tried to woo Hungarian beauty Mariann Fogarasy who just so happens to be a topless model.

UK tabloid the Daily Star claimed Beckham "got close" and "made a play" for her while he was playing on loan for Italian side AC Milan. A front-page report, headlined "Becks And The Blonde Beauty", alleged he met the model earlier this year and had been emailing her with "private party" invitations.

In a hearing at London's High Court on Tuesday, David's lawyer Gerrard Tyrrell told the judge Mr. Justice Eady the allegations were serious, defamatory, and completely untrue. Tyrrell said the newspaper now accepts the story was untrue and has retracted the allegations. Kate Wilson, lawyer for Express Group Newspapers - which owns the Daily Star - said bosses have agreed to pay Beckham substantial undisclosed damages and his legal costs. They have also apologized to the star and his family for the distress, embarrassment and injury the article caused.

Nude Victoria T-Shirt Gets Man in Trouble!

A Lebanese man is facing 30 days in jail in Dubai for wearing a cancer awareness T-shirt featuring an image of a partially clothed Victoria Beckham.

The man, identified only as RN because of Dubai's secretive court system, lost an appeal against the conviction for offending public decency.

RN, 28, was wearing the T-Shirt with the slogan "Protect the skin you're in" last November when he was confronted by another Arab man, who complained to the police. He was arrested and initially charged on three counts: public indecency, drunkenness and fleeing a public confrontation.


The T-Shirt is from a Marc Jacobs campaign that has tastefully featured several celebrities. David Beckham proudly wore his T-shirt last year.

Former Nanny Apologizes to the Beckhams

David and Victoria Beckham received a High Court apology from their former nanny, Abbie Gibson, today over her disclosure of private and confidential information about them following her resignation. Solicitor Gerrard Tyrrell said Gibson "has unconditionally apologised to David and Victoria Beckham and their family for breaching her duties of confidence" and said today's proceedings resulted from the publication of a newspaper article in April 2005, captioned 'Beckhams behind closed doors'. "Between May 2003 and March 2005, Ms Gibson was employed as the nanny to David and Victoria Beckhams' children. After she resigned from their employment, she gave an interview to the News of the World. In this interview, she disclosed private and confidential information about the Beckhams and their family." News of the World used this information as the basis for the article published on April 24, 2005.

The solicitor also told the judge that, on July 10, 2005, The People newspaper published an article entitled Exclusive: Beckham's Hate Calls To Nanny, which falsely stated that David Beckham had made a number of insulting and threatening telephone calls to Gibson. He added: "The People have already publicly apologised for making this false and defamatory claim and have paid damages to David Beckham. Ms Gibson is happy to confirm that David Beckham did not at any stage make any such telephone calls to her. She apologises if anything she said to The People gave them a false impression that such calls had been made."

Ancelotti: Milan will sign Beckham again

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti believes David Beckham will join the Italian giants on a permanent basis at the end of the year.

Beckham is set to return to America for the rest of the MLS season and another stint at the Serie A giants has been mooted. Tottenham are also interested in the England midfielder but Ancelotti believes he will be back at the San Siro next January.

"Beckham will return to the United States and will stay there until the end of his contract, which expires in November," the Milan boss told Il Messagero. "Then Milan will buy him in the winter transfer market. David has proved himself to be an exemplary professional and I honestly didn't expect him to play at such a high level."

Ancelotti, has been heavily linked with the vacancies at Real Madrid and Chelsea, but has once again reiterated his desire to remain at the Rossoneri helm.

"I will stay on for next season at least and we are already working towards strengthening the squad," added Ancelotti. "I'm not going to Chelsea. I am used to all the reports and they will probably continue, but it's not a problem." Next season will be Ancelotti's ninth in charge of Milan.

LA Galaxy Profits $10 Million from Beckham Loan Extension

Major League Soccer will be receiving $10 million for its agreement to extend David Beckham's loan to AC Milan through the end of the season. "We asked for $10 million, we got our $10 million," MLS commissioner Don Garber said Wednesday during a meeting with the Associated Press Sports Editors. "We don't know where it's coming from, either. There's a lot of different ways it could happen," he said. "He can not get paid from Milan. Milan could pay us. He could pay them. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter."

Beckham has the ability to terminate his contract with the Galaxy after the 2009 season. If he leaves to play in Europe prior to the 2010 World Cup, he always could return to MLS later.
"I don't know if he's going to leave after this season whether we would want him back," Garber said.

David has been in Milan since January and will rejoin the Galaxy on July 1.

The dream became a reality for the numerous Rossoneri hearts who had hoped since the day the English champion landed at Malpensa airport along with his wife Victoria to see him wear the Milan shirt beyond 9 March 2009, the date the agreement between Los Angeles Galaxy and the Via Turati club expired. A dream that became reality also for Beckham himself, who said: "A dream that becomes reality. I am grateful to both clubs to have made this dream become a reality."

David Speaks About His Unique 'Timeshare' Agreement

Under a unique 'timeshare' agreement, the 33-year-old England midfielder will stay at Milan until the end of this season before returning to the United States to play for the Galaxy between July and October. He will then head back to Italy in November to play out the rest of the 2009/10 Serie A campaign with Milan.

"It's never ever been about the money for me. It's always been about the football and my passion for football. I'm grateful to both clubs for allowing this dream to come true. It will enable me to play for Milan and the Galaxy in the same season, with the possibility of been able to keep up my commitments with Major League Soccer and the development of soccer in the United States, something which I'm very passionate about," said Beckham. Despite the protracted talks, the Galaxy's chief executive, Tim Lieweke, admits the deal is one which suits both clubs. "I'm sorry that it had to go for so long, for him and for us and particularly for the fans. This is a good solution. It allows him to finish the season with Milan. We will see him in July." he told the LA Times.

In a move to accommodate fans who endured the speculation on Beckham's future in LA, Galaxy said it will cut ticket prices by an average of 10 percent. Refunds will be issued for anyone who has already purchased season or individual tickets. Beckham's first game with the Galaxy will be July 16 against the New York Red Bulls at Giants Stadium, which will be moved up two days from its original date on the league schedule. The change is necessary to accommodate another part of the deal, an exhibition between AC Milan and the Galaxy at Home Depot Center in Carson on July 19.

Now it's Official - David WILL Remain at AC Milan til June

Finally! We have closure! AC Milan has released an official statement on their official site that says: "A.C. Milan communicate that the footballer David Beckham will remain with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2009." David will return to LA for the start of their July games (which include the NY Red Bulls and I'm hoping he does infact return because I wanted to get tickets for that one). I'm sure he is very pleased but I don't think the fans will react well come July. We shall see!

Coach Carlo Ancelotti also released a statement saying: "The solution to his situation will give Beckham some advantages, because he wants to stay at Milan and this permanence will give him more motivations to do well." As of right now, LA has not issued any statements.

Bruce Arena Creates Another Unexpected Twist in the Beckham Saga

The David Beckham saga took another twist tonight when Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena insists the England midfielder is expected back in the United States next week - even though David's teammates don't necessarily feel the same.

"There's nothing that's been stated publicly that he's leaving,'' Arena said. "No-one has said he's leaving. We've been consistent from the start. We have players out on loan. We expect them to be back on March 9. We expect Landon Donovan to be back March 9 (from a loan spell with Bayern Munich). We expect David Beckham to be back. If something changes, we'll react to that the proper way.''

He also expressed his frustrations on the entire ordeal saying: "Where did we have Landon Donovan going 60 days ago? We had him gone as well. You simply can't worry about it. It is what it is. If you want to track back the last 60 days in this exercise you could fill a mental hospital.''

Galaxy react to Beckham agreement

Los Angeles Galaxy coaches and players reacted to the news that David Beckham may not be returning from AC Milan until mid-July with a sense of resignation on Tuesday.

No agreement has been finalized, but the organization is ready to move on without their 33-year-old midfielder. At least until the summer.

"I think the best thing we can do is prepare as we have been," veteran Chris Klein said. "Go with the guys we have right now. That's kind of how we've looked at it the whole preaseson. We'll continue to do that and prepare for the regular season the best we can."

It was reported that Beckham will finish the Serie A season with the Italian club and not return to the Galaxy until mid-July. Milan officials have made no secret of their desire to keep the English standout on a permament basis but reportedly balked at the Galaxy's asking price, believed to be at least $10 million. Milan was said to have been willing to pay $3 million.

"The bottom line is we need to do what's right for this organization," he said. "Obviously over the months there have been a lot of issues that have clouded this process and everything else. We want to make a decision that's in our best interests and also the player's. We're not so far out there that the concerns of the players are not important either. It would be great if we could accomplish both."

Arena also said the give-and-take between the Galaxy and AC Milan, one of the biggest clubs in the world, has not been a distraction -- to the players anyway. "More to me than the team," he said. "They're going on with the business of preseason, trying to earn positions on the team and getting better. Players on loan have nothing to do with what they're doing. They haven't asked me one question."

Veteran defender Tony Sanneh said he has had his own concerns but he did admit there have been a few lockerroom discussions about their overseas teammates. Beckham in particular.

"Obviously from a professional standpoint you always want to see a player be happy and do what he wants," Sanneh said. "And as part of this league and this organization, I think he helps us marketing-wise. Who wouldn't him on your team? Obviously we'd like to have him here from day one, but in this league there's a playoff system, so ultimately you'd rather have him at the end than at the beginning."

"At the end of the day, the guy has to do what's best for him and what makes sense for him," Kovalenko said. "Right now we have to understand that. To be honest, it would be nice to have him here because he's a great player, but all we can do is get ready for the season."
