Here are a few photos of Victoria as she departs her hotel en route to the Costume Institute Gala last night. The handsome man accompanying her is Marc Jacobs' fiancee, Lorenzo Martone. The pair also walked the red carpet together (Marc was accompanied by Kate Moss).
I really am loving this look more and more to be honest- it's so different! As we all know, Marc Jacobs styled Victoria for this event so the dress is 100% by him. The futuristic looking shoes are from the Louis Vuitton fall 2009 collection. Coincidentally, Marc Jacobs designed these shoes for Louis Vuitton - he themed the entire collection after the '80s. source: Style
What do you guys think of Victoria's overall gala look? I honestly am really loving it! It's not what I expected at all but I think it is perfect for the theme of the event! See you all tomorrow!
Here are the first few photos of Victoria Beckham arriving at the MET for the Costume Institute Gala! I must say, I think she looks fabulous!! Love it! I adore the back and her makeup- although it looks like she put on a bit too much fake tan in some pics. She is dressed by BFF designer Marc Jacobs who is cohosting the gala. Tonight's event is themed 'The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion' hence why Victoria's get up is so leggy!
Victoria Beckham has attended the glamorous Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art several times now and each time she goes, she debuts a new look. Personally, my favorite is her all red ensemble from May 2006. I wasn't a fan of the Armani coat dress she wore last year but even though it wasn't my favorite, she still looked fabulous (and it didn't hurt her to have David Beckham on her arm!).
Presumably, since Victoria will be in NYC next week, it is expected that she will attend the Gala which is being hosted by BFF Marc Jacobs. The theme of this years event is "model muse". What do you guys think she will wear if she attends?
Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish will host the 17th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party Benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The event will be held Sunday, February 22nd at the Pacific Design Center and will be co-sponsored by Chopard, Jo & Raffy Manoukian, and Vh1. The event will begin at 4PM with a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, a viewing of the 81st Annual Academy Awards, an auction, and a very special musical performer invited by Sir Elton John that has yet to be announced. Over the past 16 years the Elton John AIDS Foundation's annual Oscar-night gala has raised over $20 million for the fight against HIV/AIDS, which makes it the most highly visible and successful fundraising event held on Hollywood's biggest night. Among the stars who are guarunteed to attend are: Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, David & Victoria Beckham, Diana Jenkins, Donatella Versace, Ed Limato, Jo and Raffy Manoukian, John Waters, & Mary J. Blige. Nicole Kidman & Tom Calerone will serve as co-chairs for the event. source: PR News Wire
