So Long England

Unfortantely, England suffered a defeat during their last World Cup match against Germany at the Free State Stadium on June 27th in Bloemfontein. The ending score was Germany 4 - England 1 and this loss ultimately put England out of the running.

I wasn't able to watch any of the World Cup action thanks to all that has been going on but I heard drips and drabs about it during the past few days. Anway, better luck next time guys!

Victory at Last!

David Beckham, Fabio Capello, and the rest of the England squad were over the moon with happiness on Tuesday as they finally grasped the victory that they all were hoping for.

England played yet another Group C match against Slovenia at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and the ending result was a 1-0 England victory thanks to Jermain Defoe who scored the one and only goal.

When David Met the Princes

Yesterday was a very eventful day for David Beckham. Not only did he attend another World Cup group C match (between England and Algeria), he also was at the 2018 World Cup bid FA reception at the Saxon Hotel where he met both Prince William and Prince Harry. Either David had a case of nervous laughter or the Princes were cracking him up because he has the giggles in nearly every pic.. too cute! I love his tie!

A Second Draw Disappoints David Beckham

The England National team played against Algeria yesterday and the result was a 0-0 draw. David Beckham was on the bench lending his support all the while looking extremely anxious. This second consecutive draw is said to be extremely disappointing for England. Hopefully next time they will have better luck.

David Trains with England

Even though he can't play on the pitch during the World Cup games, David Beckham still tries his best to keep himself in great form by training as best he can with his England National teammates. Here he is yesterday during a training session held at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus in Rustenburg.

I can't wait until we see him back on the field! I really wanted to go to the NY Red Bulls vs LA Galaxy match again this summer but I think I'll sit this one out... hopefully he'll be back again when they return next year!

David Watches England vs the US

On Saturday, the England National team faced the US in their first World Cup match. Even though David is unable to play, he has been along for the ride and attending all practices, press events, and interviews regarding the games so it was fitting to see him there supporting his team on the bench.

The man of the hour wore a 3 piece suit that all of the players have. The ending score was a draw, England - USA 1-1, and this completed England's first round of the World Cup 2010. The game was held at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. England played in white and USA was in blue.

Rumor of the Day: Victoria to Attend the World Cup?

After stating that she was not going over to South Africa for the World Cup during and interview at the LG event, rumors have started to swirl (go figure since today was the first day of the festivities) that their might be a possibility that she may attend after all.

According to the DailyMail, she is planning to fly out from London to South Africa with the 3 boys. However, apparently she won't spend all her time watching the games, but is planning to spend her time visiting underprivileged children in the country.

Supposedly, she has also refusing to stay in the six-star Palace Hotel with the rest of the England WAGs, and has rented a place in Cape Town's Camps Bay. A "source" said: "Victoria is, of course, 100 per cent supportive of David, and will be there to cheer him and the England squad on. But she does not consider herself a WAG in the traditional sense - that is not her at all. She has her own successful career. There was no way she was going to be staying anywhere near the WAGs this World Cup, so she has rented a beautiful flat for herself and the boys."

I don't really think that I believe this too much because she already said she wasn't going. But hey, she may have had a change of heart.

World Cup Day #1

To kick off the World Cup, before the night's festivities, the England team had a training session at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. David was there to show his support and give the team a hand if need be. He spent the session watching his fellow teammates as well as playing around a bit himself.

England will play the U.S. in a soccer World Cup Group C match on Saturday.

David Attends Bidders Exhibition

Yesterday, a very dapper David Beckham attended the exhibition of the bidders to help promote England's 2018 World Cup bid in Johannesburg. There, he rubbed elbows with many including Lucas Radebe (the former South Africa and Leeds Utd captain), Russian billionaire and owner of Chelsea Football Club, Roman Abramovich, and UEFA President Michel Platini.

It must really be killing David to be in South Africa with his fellow teammates and not be able to play at all. Here is a cute video where, even though his doctor's would not approve I'm sure, he kicks the soccer ball around before getting "yelled at". Poor thing! But he's such a good sport!
