I’ve been working hard for the past few weeks, apologies for not being in contact as much. As you know I’ve been training at Spurs readying myself for the new season in the MLS.
As I’m ahead in terms of my fitness for the new season, the plan is to be back at the Galaxy on the 24th of February. It will be great to see all of the lads again as we get close to kick off.
I’ve had a great time so far in London and it’s good to be back home with family and friends. I’ve also managed to eat my favourite meal on a regular basis – pie and mash!
Victoria Beckham Style has reached yet another milestone... 500 followers!

*Welcome to all of the new readers and followers! I hope you are enjoying everything!
With the football season in the US finished and Christmas almost here, I’m back in the UK with all the family. I managed to get up to Manchester on Monday to watch Manchester United play Arsenal. United won a tight match and it definitely puts them in a good place for a busy Christmas period, but I’m sure they’ll be plenty more twists and turns along the way in what has been a great Premier League season so far.
Tonight I’m off to the Millies Awards, which are our chance as a nation to recognise and honour the fantastic men and women of our Armed Forces. Having visited the troops in Afghanistan in May, I have seen for myself the amazing job they do. I’m honoured to be involved and the Awards are a great way of saying thank you for all the sacrifices they make on a daily basis for all of us.
We are planning a pretty relaxing Christmas in the UK and will be catching up with family and friends, which I’m really looking forward to. Whatever you’ve got planned over the festive period, I hope you have fun, see you in 2011
Take care
*While looking for photos of the Beckhams during the Christmas holiday to post with this blog entry, I came across the two photos below and I had to share them... I thought they were too funny and that you guys would enjoy them too!
Where to start, it’s been a busy few weeks. I’m still disappointed thinking about our recent loss to Dallas in the Conference Finals, never easy to lose, especially as we were one game away from the MLS Cup Final. Credit to Dallas though, they took their chances, but we’ll learn from it and come back stronger next year.
I’m currently in Australia with The Galaxy, we’ve got a post-season tour match against A-League side Newcastle Jets and we are doing a few training clinics while we are out here. I’ve been fortunate enough to come to Australia a few times now, it’s a great country and they certainly love their sport, although let’s hope they are not cheering too much during The Ashes!!
Next week I’m back in Europe and I’m heading to Zurich with the 2018 Bid Team. Prince William and David Cameron are also joining us. The World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world and it would mean so much for us to host it in 2018. It’s something I am so passionate about, football is at the heart of our country and we want to leave a lasting legacy around the world.
I’m sure many of you watched England’s EURO 2012 qualifier against Montenegro on Wednesday. We played pretty well, but we didn’t manage to convert any of our chances. I prefer to concentrate on the positives though, we are still unbeaten and we are in a good position at the end of the year. We’ll just need to make sure we’re at our best for the rest of the group games, there’s still plenty of football to be played.
It was great to see Sepp Blatter meeting David Cameron this week at 10 Downing Street ahead of the crucial vote to host the World Cup. I hope he enjoyed his visit, however, there is still plenty of work to be done before decision day on December 2.
Back in LA, we’ve only got two league games left, and we only need to win one of them to take home advantage in the play-off finals. It would also give us the best record in the MLS this season, but the real test begins in the play-offs.
First up this Saturday evening are the Colorado Rapids, keep any eye on my site as we’ll post up some match highlights afterwards.
Take care
*The photo above is from when David took the boys to a nightime soccer clinic on October 10th.
I’m back in LA after to flying to Trinidad over the weekend with the 2018 World Cup bid team – in just 65 days, FIFA will announce who will host the World Cup.
For me it’s all about the legacy of The Bid, I’ve seen first hand the power that football has globally. A World Cup in England would not only benefit our country, we will help implement projects and improve facilities in all the FIFA projects around the world.
I’m glad that my Academy will visit each FIFA Confederation every year, should we win the right to host the World Cup.
Last Friday saw one of the biggest MLS matches in the calendar, we played the New York Red Bulls. While I was happy I got another 90 minutes under my belt, I was disappointed with the result, we lost 2-0. We had plenty of the ball and several good chances, it just wasn’t our day.
We’ve already qualified for the Play-Off Finals, which is great news, so we have to take the positives from Friday and kick on from there…and hopefully go one better than last year!
It’s been a while since I’ve been in touch. As you know, I’m in the final stages of recovery from my injury and I’ve been training hard and getting myself ready to play over the last few weeks. I think I’m pretty close now, although Saturday might be a bit too soon. I’d just like to thank everyone for their support in what has been a frustrating time.
We’ve got a big match this weekend against Columbus, who are currently top of the Eastern Conference, so it will be a tough one. Having said that, we are top of the Western Conference, so we having nothing to fear.
We’ve got seven matches left in the league and we are all desperate to make it back to the play-offs in November, and go one better than last year.
Not much else to report, all is well with the family and the sun is shining in LA.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of my fabulous followers and daily readers! Thank you all so much for your support and kindness over the past few years! It's amazing to think that I've been blogging four nearly three years now! You all make it such a pleasure and well worth it!
It’s been a while since I was last in touch, but I’m happy to report the rehabilitation is going well and the physio is pleased with my progress.
I’m currently in Milan and catching up with some of the Milan squad. While the title dream is over, the final game over the season is at home to Juventus, which promises to be a great match, with a third place finish looking likely this season.
The lads at The Galaxy have started the season brilliantly, seven wins and a draw from our first eight games. We’ve opened up a nine point lead at the top of the Western Conference, long may it continue.
Next stop for me is Zurich, this Friday I’ll be presenting England’s 2018 bid document to FIFA. The bid book outlines the technical details and the vision of the bid and it’s an incredible honour to be asked. It would be amazing if we can help deliver the 2018 World Cup to all England’s passionate fans and I’m really proud just to be involved.
I’m now back in LA and it feels good to be back with the family.
I’ve been working hard with the doctors and physios and the injury is progressing well and I’m on track, which is good news.
Last Saturday I was at the Galaxy match, supporting the guys. The win was very welcome and I’m hoping to be back playing as soon as I can, trying to help the team go one better than last season and win the Championship.
We’re currently on a family holiday, which is nice and relaxing, but I just wanted to take time out to thank everyone for their continued support and best wishes, it means so much.
Hope you have a happy Easter whatever you have planned, take care.
First of all I just want to thank you all for everything! I know the blog has been kind of slow the past few weeks and I just wanted to say thanks for hanging in there and being patient with me. As my regular readers know, I am currently doing my student teaching for school and it is extremely demanding... even more so now since I am teaching every subject but Math.
The last thing I wanted to do was put the blog on hold, or a hiatus, for the four months I would be doing my student teaching. Instead, I've been trying my absolute hardest to keep up with the Beckhams, my school assignments, and my actual work that there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. So I wanted to say that I'm sorry for the lack of updates over the past two weeks, but it's just been so hectic. I don't want to put the blog on hold, instead I ask you to just bear with me for the next few weeks, I'm completely finished with school on May 10th and then normal blogging will resume again (I hate being so behind!). For now, I am trying to do as much as I can with the little time I have. So please, hang in there :) I promise it won't be much longer and I will do my best!
On another note, I wanted to say thank you to all of my followers and readers. Victoria Beckham Style turned two this week, it's hard to believe I've been blogging this long already! You all have made this so much fun and enjoyable for me! I've gotten to know several of you and I just wanted to say thanks for being so great and kind! It is much appreciated! VBS also reached 300 followers, which is another huge milestone for the blog!
It was a good victory at Wembley on Wednesday, and despite an early scare we ran out 3-1 winners. Egypt are a very good side, the current African Champions having recently won the 2010 African Cup of Nations. So it was another good win, that keeps the confidence up ahead of the World Cup.
I’m back in Italy now preparing for another big game for Milan this weekend, we’re away to Roma, who are 3 points behind us in the league in third. A win would put some distance between us and keep the pressure on Inter.
Next Wednesday will be another massive game, we travel to Manchester for the second leg of our Champions League tie – I’m looking forward to going back and seeing old friends, although the most important thing is that we win and go through to the next round.
This week also sees the launch of the Jaguar Academy of Sport, of which I’m a patron. The primary aim of the Academy is to recognise and support new British sporting talent, something I feel passionately about and I’m happy to be involved.
It was good to get back to winning ways yesterday and the three points were vital. We played well and deserved it, and if we can win our game in hand against Fiorentina on Wednesday night, we’ll keep the pressure on Inter.
Although games are coming thick and fast, I’m trying to experience the city and I’ve managed to squeeze in some cookery lessons where I can.
I love Italian food and haven’t had a bad meal since I’ve been here so I’ve decided to learn how to make fresh pasta, risotto and other dishes, and I’ll be trying them out on family and friends soon!
The last few weeks have seen us play a quite a few games, and while we’ve played pretty well, it’s fair to say the results haven’t gone our way.
Inter are now 10 points ahead of us at the top of the league, so we’re going to need to go on a long unbeaten run and hope for a bit of luck along the way. But we’re all remaining positive, there are still 15 league matches to go and 45 points to play for.
Next Tuesday sees the first leg of the Champions League and we’ll welcome my old club, Manchester United to the San Siro. It will be a special occasion and I still love the club. Even though I’m not there anymore, I’m still a huge fan and it will be amazing to be involved in such a huge occasion.
Victoria and the kids are in Milan this week. It’s great to see and spend time with them and even though I love playing for Milan, I miss being with my family. Our next game is on Friday night, at home to Udinese, nothing but a win will do!
For those of you who left comments guessing that my big news was that I am engaged, you are right! My boyfriend of six happy years proposed to me on Valentine's Day and I said yes!! It was such a wonderful day and I am over the moon with excitement and happiness. We haven't set a date or anything yet but it will most likely happen in 2011-2012, depending on how everything goes job wise once I graduate in May from college.
I have photos of my ring on my camera and I will upload them to this post tomorrow.
So now that you all know my big news, I'm sure you can understand why posts have been delayed this week. It's been family party after family party with both sides of our families so we've been so busy. I was able to update a bit tonight but it is getting late (12:15 am here and I have to get up at 6:00) so I am going to post the rest (Bergdorfs, closet posts, reviews, David updates, and a few other things) tomorrow.
Thank you all for your sweet comments! I really appreciate them!! You guys are wonderful!
See you tomorrow!
xo- Jenna
Here is a picture of my ring. We all tried so hard to get a good closeup but they come out so blurry... even this one doesn't do it any justice. It's really pretty in real life - it's a radiant center stone and it's surrounded by round pave diamonds.
And yes, I finally got to wear my YSLs after months of waiting to wear them. I felt a bit VBish with them on and my zippered pants lol. They are actually extremely comfortable but the heel height really makes you look so much taller! I was eye to eye with my fiance and I'm only5'3" where he is 5'10".
I just wanted to wish you all very Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you enjoy it with your sweethearts or friends!
I am going to be taking the rest of the day off from blogging because my boyfriend has a few surprises for me today and I have no idea what time I'll be back. However, if I get a chance to later, I will post everything about the new collection. If not tonight, then definitely tomorrow. I can't wait to see it!!
What a busy few weeks it's been. We've played three league games and a cup match in just over two weeks, winning all four which is great and keeps us in the hunt for the trophies.
We are now just six points behind Inter in the league but we have a game in hand, which makes our next match all the more special, we're playing Inter on Sunday evening! We've been training hard this week and the mood in the camp is really good, so it's a game I'm really looking forward to- undoubtedly one of the great derby matches in world football.
Off the pitch things have been busy as well. This week I unveiled my new adidas Originals collection with James Bond. The reception was positive which is pleasing considering the hard work we put in
The new adidas Star Wars teaser also broke this week, you can see the advert on my website or on Facebook. I had great fun filming it and loved watching Star Wars when I was growing up, see if you can recognise some of the famous faces from the advert. There will be more to come soon.
I’d like to start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
I had a fantastic time with the family in London over Christmas but then it was straight back to work.
We reported back for training on 28 December and spent the next three days doing intensive double training sessions, which were closely monitored by the club doctors. We were allowed New Year’s Day off but have been back in training since then. Everyone has made me feel really welcome, it’s like I’ve never been away!
There’s been a lot of talk about Manchester United in the Champions League, but we’ve got many big games before then, so my focus is on those and playing well for the team.
Our first game of 2010 is at home to Genoa on Wednesday followed by a trip to Juventus on Sunday - I’m looking forward to it and want to contribute towards the team.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of my readers and to those who follow Victoria Beckham Style! You all have been really wonderful, especially over the past few hectic months and it really means a lot to me!
This is a huge milestone for the blog and I couldn't be more greatful! I honestly didn't think that I would be blogging this long but here I am, nearly two years in and I really enjoy bringing you all the latest Beckham buzz! Thanks again... it really is much appreciated!
I just wanted to wish you a very happy holiday! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love, family, and friends.
Thank you for all of your amazing support over this past year. Victoria Beckham Style has turned into something much bigger than I imagined and I just wanted to thank you all for your extremely kind comments and emails. It's been a pleasure sharing the year with you all!
I will be back on Sunday with more updates - the 2009 Victoria Beckham Style Awards will also be posted next week.
