Before the fall out, the photo above was taken with Mrs. Beckham. The dirt written about the Beckham's personal life helped Firth sell several copies of Heat. Now, in his diaries that he's making into a book, Mark Firth describes a time during the birth of one of the Beckham boys in which he recalls a moment with proud poppa David:

"I am glued to Sky News and suddenly see a beaming David Beckham outside the Portland Hospital. 'You're always nervous having children, but it's the most beautiful thing in the world,' he tells reporters.
Nervous? I'll give you 'nervous'. Never again!"
