Hi everyone,
Well, we didn’t enjoy the best result against the Seattle Sounders and I was even more disappointed to get sent off so early in the game. I did genuinely try to win the ball, but I did catch the player and I hold my hands up as it was a foul. I would never intentionally go into a tackle to hurt someone and so I was obviously disappointed to see the referee produce a red. Before the game we were confident of getting a result as our form has been excellent, but hopefully it’s just a blip and we can move on straight away, starting tonight against Chicago Fire. I’d have loved to have tried to help the team get straight back to winning ways but, unfortunately, I have to sit this one out as I received a one-match ban after the sending off on Saturday. Both Eddie Lewis, who was also sent off late in the game against the Sounders, and I will be cheering on the team though and we hope to make amends on Saturday against D.C. United in the capital.
