I have to say, from someone who really does not enjoy too many sports, I absolutely loved my experience at the Galaxy/Red Bulls game last night! It was my very first soccer game and I think it's pretty safe to say I would love to go again! My boyfriend and I went early enough to watch both teams on the field practicing.. unfortunately, the Galaxy was on the opposite corner. When David first came out, my heart did a little flutter because I had never seen him in person before - it was very exciting! We had amazing seats - we were midfield, the very first row! We definitely got lucky because they were so close however, I purchased the tickets from a Red Bulls season ticket holder so we were among a see of their fans. But one girl sat directly behind us and she was head to toe Beckham! She was so cute - blowing him kisses every time he came and stood in front of us and shouting his name when he had the ball. I was not really able to get great photos like I had hoped because he was never still for a moment - not even during the warm up so I gave up midway and just decided to enjoy the game and I definitely did. The only trouble is that Red Bull fans DO NOT like him at all!! It seemed like every time he was near the ball, they were booing him - but he kept his head held high and acted extremely professionally, even jovial when his teammates scored each of the three goals (one of which was by Donovan). He played 70 of the 90 minutes and at the end, he gave his jersey to a young fan who made an enormous banner for him - which was SO sweet! Then the press came and whisked him away. All in all I have to say I loved every minute of it and am looking forward to next season already (hopefully he will still be there).
