According to the latest reports, David Beckham may soon have a new leading lady for the new Armani ads. Apparently, Armani fashion bosses are gunning to pair Becks with their newest signing, Angelina Jolie. Label bosses are hoping to shoot the pair together in an audacious initiative to reinforce Armani’s position as the world’s sexiest fashion house.
While both are tied into separate deals through Armani’s clothes and scent divisions, senior executives are working on a print proposal that would see Becks net the plump-lipped Oscar-winner. “When you have David Beckham and Angelina Jolie signed up to your fashion house it’s a no-brainer to link them up,” a source revealed. “They appeal to a diverse audience and a collaboration would create so much publicity it would push Armani head and shoulders above their rivals. There are a few contract issues to be addressed but marketing experts are being tasked with coming up with clever ideas for a print campaign. The two are exceptionally beautiful on camera but both committed to long-term partners so the ad would have to be sexy without offending their other halves.”
