Amongst the rumors that even her brand dVb might be losing its star power, Victoria Beckham assures the public and her devoted fans that her brand is doing just fine!
"Former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham has denied her recent fashion ventures have been a disappointment - insisting her dVb brand is going "from strength to strength." Beckham was recently at the center of rumors that her label was in crisis after she announced her new range of dresses would not be shown on the catwalk at the upcoming New York Fashion Week - but in small private viewings. The singer's dVb denim range also came under fire earlier this year (08) after Los Angeles boutique Kitson dropped the brand - citing poor sales and lack of promotional activity from the star. But Beckham is adamant that her fashion business is doing well - blaming the media for putting a negative spin on her style exploits:
She says, "Ther are always people out there waiting for us to fail. But I don't let that deter me. I'm a perfectionist and I'm good at what I do. Care-wise, the opportunities and success I've had this year are outstanding. My brand is going from strength to strength."
I agree 100% with Victoria! dVb is not endangered in any way, shape, or form! She's just recently had a fantastic turnout for her launch of the new Beckham Signature fragrances - For Him and For Her, and just last week she was the Queen of NY Fashion Week as she debuted a highly praised dress collection. Just because Kitson dropped the brand doesn't mean it's in trouble! I think it's doing fabulous! I own a pair of dVb sunglasses and I love them! I'm really interested in buying her denim as well. I understand that the only set back she may have is that her prices are a bit high for her fan base but other than that, she's made her mark in the fashion world!
