Clothes Call: Vogue Turkey (8/10)
It took me hours yesterday to find all of the outfits from Victoria's Vogue Turkey photoshoot. Luckily, the scans had the designers names listed in the photos because I hadn't heard of many of them before. But the problem was, the collections were not on the usual style sites I visit (like Style.com and such) when looking for the IDs to her pieces. Thank goodness for Google though because I typed in the names and after searching a variety of sites, finally found as many as I could.
Obviously, since this photoshoot was for Vogue Turkey, Victoria is photographed in more Turkish designers than American ones.
The most worn designer of the shoot was by far YildirimMayruk. The stylist for the shoot chose the Turkish designer's fall 2009 collection as the source for the fabulous pieces featured in the shoot and I think it was an excellent choice! All of Mayruk's pieces fit with the glamorous motif!
This purple number is probably my favorite of the entire shoot! It is such an extraordinary gown and I love how they styled her hair and gave her mirrored aviators that played off the dress! Such a major ensemble to say the least!
My second favorite piece was this mini dress that had an intricately beaded bodice and feather skirt. This dress reminds me of something we would have seen off of a Marchesa runway. I included a closeup shot of the detailing - so stunning!
ArzuKaprol is another one of the names I had never heard of before but am glad I do now! This sequin bustier paired with a feather coat really showcases Victoria's amazing legs! And the close-up shot made me think of fish scales.
I had heard the name of DilekHanif before but never saw a collection. While browsing for this fur trimmed coat, I came across the designers other collections and they are so unbelievably stunning! You all should check them out! Very regal, elegant, and timelessly chic. This coat is from the couture line that was shown in Paris recently.
And of course we couldn't not have a VB piece worked in the mix! Ever since she started designing dresses, the stylists have included one of her pieces within each of her magazine shoots. She looks lovely here - very angelic!
What Katie Did and Agent Provocateur are not strange names when it comes to VB shoots. She wore the same cone shaped bra (but in a nude color) for a Bazaar shoot recently and an Agent Provocateur piece during the final Spice Girls video Headlines.
*Another huge thanks to the following sites for the help with the ID pictures: Modaturkiye, Gecce.org, Monsters & Critics, Style.com, What Katie Did, Agent Provocateur, and MaisonChaplin.blogspot.com - and of course 9sn.net (thanks Anon!) and Modavesosyete.blogspot.com for the scans!
