Once upon a time she was a fashion disaster zone. Now she's a top designer, with a seemingly endless roster of female celebrities willing to pour themselves into her frocks. But how has Victoria Beckham - previously incarnated as Queen Wag, with teeny hotpants and hair extensions to match - pulled off this sartorial miracle?
Perhaps the key lies in a remark Posh herself made: 'I've always been drawn to structured designs that enhance and flatter the shape of a woman's silhouette.'
Her dresses use luxurious fabrics and employ hidden engineering, such as an inbuilt corset. Just like the red-carpet numbers by British designer Roland Mouret, who has given Victoria lots of advice, hers hold in wobbly bits, contour busts, nip in waists and give even the most straight-up-and-down star an hourglass figure.
But who can pull off a VB dress best? The look works only on a woman with curves who is over 35 (it is too severe for twenty-somethings) and oozes sex appeal.
It's interesting to note that none of the stars pictured here is wearing a freebie. The fact that so many celebrities chose VB is testimony to how female-friendly these Posh frocks are.
