Victoria Beckham attended the Fashion East show yesterday to scout the newest talent in the fashion industry. Victoria told Grazia she was at the show because she’d ‘heard there is really exciting talent coming out of Fashion East’.Fashion East’s director Lulu Kennedy was amazed that Victoria attended. "I just couldn’t believe she was there," said Kennedy. "I wanted to pinch her to check she was real."
Lulu says the show was recommended to Victoria by some of her fashion editor friends. ‘I think they told her, “If you’re doing any shows, go to Fashion East, it will give you a sense of the young London underground designers.” Also, I just think she felt she wanted to get behind the British Fashion Council for the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week, and she decided she wanted to support young talent here.’
That talent consisted of Holly Fulton, Heikki Salonen, andMichael van der Ham. Kennedy said Victoria was very impressed. "I think she really liked Holly’s stuff. So who knows, maybe we’ll be seeing her in a bit of Fashion East before too long..."
