We all know already that her hubby is a supporter of Malaria No More, and it seems like Victoria has joined the crowd. Mrs. Beckham was spotted wearing the £15,000 mosquito ring designed by jeweler Stephen Webster on her right thumb when she arrived at LAX yesterday. The ring is ruby and diamond encrusted and depicts a mosquito sitting on top of a web."It's a fabulous statement piece and I've loved wearing it, it's inspiring to see designers like Stephen working the power of fashion to save lives," said Victoria. "Malaria is such an important issue, killing more children under five in Africa than any other single disease. I'm crossing my fingers this collaboration will generate loads of buzz and funds for new charity Malaria No More UK."
Designer Stephen Webster said: "I designed the mosquito ring for an important cause but also to be chic and cool to wear. Seeing Victoria sporting it makes me hope it's succeeded on both counts."
The ring will be auctioned for upwards of £15,000 and all of the proceeds from the sale - and of 360 replicas which will be sold by online retailer www.asos.com, starting in October, for £50 each - will go towards the charity's efforts to eliminate malaria deaths.
