Earlier this month she stepped out in a highly-unflattering frumpy dress that was nothing short of a fashion disaster.
But while Jennifer Love Hewitt made a valiant effort to redeem herself in the style stakes she came over ever so slighty too matchy matchy as she enjoyed lunch with friends in Beverly Hills yesterday.
The 32-year-old actress was showcasing the colour blocking trend in a flowing orange and cream dress with a cut out neckline.
Brights v monochrome: The 32-year-old actress opted for a bold and bright look as she lunched with a friend, who chose a black and white palette, in Beverly Hills
With a pair of strappy purple, orange and cream Christian Louboutin Staratata heels on her feet she went for matching overload with a studded Talita bag by the French designer in the same colours.
But while each item she was wearing was lovely as a separate and the dress complimented her curvy figure, together the ensemble verged on try-hard as she strutted to the shops following her lunch with a friend.
The girls visited a number of shops including stopping off at a luxury sweet shop and perused the extravagant Easter chocolate bunnies.
Sweet treat: After lunch the girls did a spot of shopping and visited a luxury confectionery store to check out the Easter eggs
While Jennifer went for spring brights her companion opted for a simple monochrome look with a black maxi skirt, white vest and a black cardigan – a look which Jennifer had tried on for size earlier the day before.
Carrying her trusty studded SS10 Louboutin bag to add a flash of colour, Jennifer looked cool in her casual attire consisting of a pair of baggy black trousers, black trainers, a white blouse with an on-trend collar and a leather biker jacket.
Her latest looks were a world away from her ill-advised wardrobe disaster earlier this month.
Stylish shopper: While she may have over matched the colour palette with her accessories the outfit complemented her shape and Jennifer looked lovely
