Match report courtesy of http://www.davidbeckham.com/:Photo via: www.zigazig-ha.comDiego Milito and Goran Pandev scored to give Inter Milan a 2-0 win over city rivals AC Milan, that extended their Serie A lead to nine points. Inter played most of the match with 10 men after midfielder Wesley Sneijder was sent off for sarcastically applauding referee Gianluca Rocchi. It got even worse for Inter when Lucio also was red carded for a deliberate hand ball during second-half stoppage time.
Speaking after the match David said his teammates were disappointed after last night's 2-0 defeat to Inter in the Milan derby but insisted that there is still plenty of football to decide this season's Serie A title. David said: “We played against a very strong team. We didn't exploit the numerical superiority well, but at times it's more difficult to score with 11 than 10 men. We are very sorry for the defeat, but it's not the end of the world. There are still many games to play and we have some objectives to realise.”David and AC Milan are back in action in the Coppa Italia in midweek when they face Udinese.
