AC Milan's soccer season has officially ended which also means that David Beckham time with the Italian giants is over... for the time being anyway. Yesterday marked the 38th and final matchday for the team and they came out victoriously over Fiorentina with a final score of AC Milan 2 - Fiorentina 0.The match was held at the Artemio Franchi stadium of Florence. AC Milan advanced to the lead spot in the 55th minute with Ricardo Kaká's goal. The second goal is courtesy of Pato in the 76th minute. AC Milan finished the 2008-2009 season in third place with 74 points and gain direct access to the next Champions League. Not a bad way to end the season!
This game was also very emotionally significant as it marked the end of Paolo Maldini's career and the last one with coach Carlo Ancelotti on the bench. Ancelotti will be with Chelsea next season.
