Bench it Like Beckham

Even though AC Milan came out victorious over Chievo with a 1-0 win, David Beckham spent another match on the bench. This is the second consecutive time now. According to reports, Carol Ancelotti's decision to bench Becks is not a method of punishing the midfielder. It is being said that David is in need of a resting period after playing most Milan games since arriving at the end of last year and appearing in both of England's recent internationals against Slovakia and Ukraine. Hopefully he will be back on the pitch soon!
