"David made his debut for AC Milan this evening in Dubai, starting for the Italian club against Hamburg SV in a friendly match, which they won on 5-4 penalties. The midfielder received a big cheer when his name was called out prior to kick-off and he wasted little time in getting amongst the action, when he won the ball with a full blooded tackle in the opening exchanges. Playing to the right of Andrea Pirlo, David showed a good work rate despite picking up a knock in training yesterday and linked up well with Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko with several trademark long passes before leaving the field of play at half time. Ronaldinho scored a penalty in the second half for Milan before Benjamin pulled one back four minutes later for Hamburg, and the score remained 1-1 until full time. The Italians eventually prevailed in a penalty shootout to cap a great week for David and the club. Milan now head back to Italy ahead of an important Serie A match against Roma on Sunday."
