I've been posting David's blogs lately because they all have to do with his time in Milan. I will most likely post them until he's back home in America. His latest blog deals with just about everything... from training, to starting in his first game, and whats next:
Hi everybody,
Well, it’s been a very good week for me personally. After training with the Milan players and then playing my first game in Dubai, which was a great experience, we all returned to Italy to prepare for the match against Roma. I’ve worked hard over the past week or so to get my fitness to a good level, but I was still surprised when I found out during the team meeting before the match that I was going to start. Of course, I was really happy to be making my first appearance in Serie A and I was also pleased to play for most of the game, as it is important for me to get match fitness. I didn’t think I’d last as long as I did, but I still felt strong at half-time, which the manager must have seen and kept me on. Obviously, I’m pleased with how things have gone so far, but I’ll take things one step at a time. We’ve got Fiorentina at the San Siro in our next match and I hope to play some part as it’ll be my first home match for the club. They are only two points behind us in the table, so we’ll definitely be looking to put some daylight between us and the clubs below. In the meantime I’ll work hard in training, as I always do, and we’ll take things from there. That’s all for now.
Take care ,
David
