David Beckham got fed up with being followed by the pesky paparazzi this afternoon when a team of photogs were following his car in LA. The soccer hottie confronted the paparazzi and a fight broke out just a few minutes later between one of the Beckham bodyguards and the stalker photographer. According to an eyewitness at the scene, David went to the car and tried to get the driver to come out. The driving photog declined David's invitation and then the bodyguard went over to the passenger side where punches began to fly about. The spat started right in front of a police station in Beverly Hills. "Once the bodyguards and the paparazzi started fighting, David ran back to the car and he and Victoria drove off... the cops finally came and broke it up, " said the witness. A rep for David told E! News, "Yes, an incident did occur. However, there will be no comment as this is now in the hands of lawyers." The paparazzi showed the Beverly Hills police an video of the incident and the cops confiscated it to use as evidence. "We took a report at the scene but no one was taken into custody or cited. We will review what we have to see if further action needs to be taken," said Beverly Hills PD Sgt. Gregg Mader. The photographer shot back saying, "They just can't do this. They put me on the floor, they got my camera and they threw it in the trash can. They can't do this to us." An ambulance was called to the scene but was not used by anyone involved.

Thank god everyone is ok. But these photographers really need to give these celebrities some space. The Beckhams are celebrities and because they are in the limelight, there always will be paparazzi around. The scary thing is that they have children and the kids do not need to be subjected to this.. the paparazzi drive dangerously and follow them everywhere. They are far to young for that. Luckily, the Beckhams are not the kind of parents that exploit their children. They protect them as much as they possibly can from the harm of the paparazzi.
